Preliminary extraction of the copper with sulphuric or sulphurous acids may be applicable to ores containing oxidized copper minerals such as malachite, azurite and chrysocolla but these acids have but little effect on sulphide copper,Recovery of Gold, Silver, Palladium, and Copper from Waste,,separation of metals from nonmetals. Magnetic separation can be further used to separate ferromagnetic from non-ferromagnetic metals. The target streams of Stage 1, which would contain gold, silver, palladium, copper, zinc, tin, and other nonferrous metals will be further processed in Stage 2 for recovery of valuable metals.
